Editorial Complaints Policy
Fifty Four Mag Ltd.
We are committed to adhering to the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) regulations and its Editors’ Code of Practice.
What Constitutes a Complaint
Individuals must explicitly identify their submission as “a formal complaint under this policy” when raising concerns.
Policy Scope
This policy addresses editorial content complaints within UK publications and digital services operated by the magazine. Excluded categories include TV/radio services, advertising content, taste and decency matters, books, user-generated content, and issues outside IPSO’s jurisdiction.
Complaint Handling Process
We accept complaints within four months of publication, or up to twelve months if content remains accessible online. Eligible complainants include directly affected individuals, representative groups citing substantial public interest breaches, and third parties correcting significant inaccuracies.
We reserve the right to dismiss trivial, abusive, or vexatious submissions. The complaints process is cost-free, with acknowledgement typically occurring within five business days and resolution targeted within 28 days.
IPSO Escalation
Dissatisfied complainants may escalate unresolved matters to IPSO, which provides free complaints handling services.
